The Studio

Ahhh.... The studio, this is where the all the editing takes place. Our main digital audio editing workhorse for bigger projects is a Pentium IV 2.4Ghz PC with ProToos 6.4 (yeah, I know I need a Mac) loaded with bundles of plug-ins for larger than life effects. For small projects and simple edits Adobe Audition is the preferred application.

The outboard gear includes audio processing from Aphex, mics from EV and AKG, CD players from Tascam and Denon, outboard effects by Alesis. An Allen & Heath Mix Wizard board brings all the outboard gear together.

This studio has come a long way over the years, my first multi-track recorder was an old Otari 2-track reel to reel that the radio station I interned for was throwing away (it wasn't pretty)..

The studio doubles as mission control to a weekly alternative rock show sent to LPFM and internet affiliates.
